Been there and all. The only thing I can think of is find a place, or job, offering a slight twist to your current job. Something existing employer couldn't match in skill set or opportunity. Make it about the quality of the work or needing a change. Will that work? That's what I was aiming for. Waited too long and illness felled me instead. When I handed in my sick notice, my boss actually said "work weekends or evenings if you want"...right, he completely missed the fact i was dying standing up. God save us from shitty bosses.
